Spirelight Internship

What my mentors and clients say about me and my work.

Cat is enthusiastic and motivated. She writes clear, relevant copy that corresponds well to client briefs. I would not hesitate to work with her again.

Here is a list of things I learned at Spirelight.

Web Design

This involved many hours of instruction from my supervisors then duals with WordPress. In the end I got there but still have a great deal to learn about WordPress and what it has to offer.

Copywriting/SEO

I spent the majority of my time working as a copywriter. This included writing a handful of articles for Marketpedia.  I developed a voice that reflected Spirelight as a brand and would help customers understand what they were reading on Marketpedia.

Coding

While not something required of most copywriters, I was given the opportunity to learn basic coding. This came in handy when writing the articles for Marketpedia and gave insights on how to create my own online resume in the future.

Analytics

A very interesting look into who was opening, clicking, signing up for or purchasing the products sold by each of Spirelight’s clients. This helped to determine which customers to invest more marketing in and who’s membership to terminate.

Social Media

A combination of Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Twitter, and Pintrest offered a hands on look at how exactly each can be used to express a company’s voice and personality, as well as draw in business as a result of sponsored posts.

Email

I liked this form of direct response because those receiving it knew it was coming. They were expecting it and gifted with its contents. This gave me the chance use the voice of the company in a way that strengthened the business customer relationship.
